Welcome to J Boyer Photography. bio picture

Welcome to J Boyer Photography.

I am a wedding and portrait photographer in the greater Seattle area.

Photography is my passion. To me, photography is capturing those
tiny moments that will be remembered forever. I believe each photo
should share an emotion between the subject and viewer and leave an
indelible mark. My journalistic approach portrays an honest emotion for
you and your loved ones to cherish forever.

Please feel free to share your thoughts with me via my contact link above.

I would also love to hear from you directly. I can be reached at 206-465-8544

Cook Family

Word of mouth advertising is a large part of my business. I met the Cook family though mutual friends of mine after shooting their daughters Senior Portraits. The Cook family wanted a few photos taken for their Holiday Card. We lucked out and had some beautiful weather down on the Mukilteo waterfront.

Senior Photos with Allie

Another favorite location of mine is Seattle! You might think “Well YA! Who doesn’t love to shoot in Seattle?” Over the years I’ve spent many weekends at Seattle’s Kerry Park photographing Wedding couples and models. Allie is one of them. We could not have asked for a better day if you ask me. I hope you enjoy the photos……

Senior Photos with Natalie

Spring is in the air. Time to get back out and start shooting again. Downtown Snohomish is one of my favorite spots to shoot. I met Natalie and her mom in Snohomish on a beautiful day and we spent a duple of hours walking around and exploring the waterfront. There are a lot of beautiful spots to shoot in Snohomish as you can see. Enjoy!

Isabella Grace: A Birth Story

As I mentioned in a previous post, I’ve known Chari and Lee since 2011 when I photographed their wedding. I have come to know them more closely and when I heard they were expecting their little girl, I jumped at the chance to photograph their story. It was the most moving photo session I have ever experienced. The following is what I captured while Chari and lee welcomed Isabella Grace into the world.

Chari and Lee: A Love Story.

Last year, I had the pleasure of meeting Chari and Lee when I photographed their wedding for them. They are an amazing loving couple that I have gotten to know quite well over the last year plus. When I heard that they were expecting a baby, I jumped at the chance to share their birth story. We met just after they found out they were expecting and planned the photo sessions. We met four times throughout the pregnancy, birth, and for newborn photos. It was the most amazing, loving, emotional photographic experience I have ever had. I put together a series of photos that covers my favorites from their wedding, all the way through the birth of Isabella. Please enjoy.

Jorge & Corrina

I have known Jorge and Corrina for a little while through a mutual friend of ours. My friend came to me and told me that Jorge and Corrina were getting married and looking for a photographer. The thing was, they had six weeks to plan and organize everything. With the help of friends and family, they managed to pull it off big time. The weather was perfect for a summer beach wedding. Corrina even got her fairytale, toes in the sand wedding ceremony……

Amanda and Lin

I met Amanda and Lin through a photographer friend that I shoot a lot of Automotive photography with. We decided to team up together and shoot their engagement and wedding photographs as a team. We returned to Chateau Ste. Michelle and spent a couple of hours walking around the grounds shooting in various locations. I love shooting at the Chateau. The architecture and landscaping are beautiful. Even in early February when we were there. Amanda and Lin are now married, having married on July 15th at the Hollywood Schoolhouse. You can find the photos from their wedding in my wedding category above.

Amanda and Lin

I have always wanted to photograph a wedding at The Hollywood Schoolhouse in Woodinville and last July, it finally happened. I’ve driven by the shoolhouse thousands of times as I went to high school in Woodinville and lived only a few miles away. The Schoolhouse has one of the most elegant and beautiful interiors with a classic decorative interior. As soon as I walked inside, my mind was swimming with ideas. As you can see, we had a great time with beautiful weather. Enjoy the photos.

2012 Exotics@RTC time!

Oh yes! It’s that time of year again. The 2012 season of Exotics@RTC has begun. We had a late start this year, but that meant for a great season opener with over 200 cars showing up. Last weekend we had a special truck make it’s debut; the Kenworth T680. That’s a machine! Anyway, here are a few of my favorites from the first few weeks. Enjoy!

Photoshoot with Micki

It’s been a long winter with little shooting. I was very anxious to get out and get active with my camera again. I know Micki and her dad Sean through the Exotics@RTC gatherings. Micki’s beautiful red hair and piercing eyes are easy to spot and I knew they she would make a great subject. We met in downtown Snohomish where I knew we’d have some colorful backdrops to choose from. the colorful background and setting sun made for some amazing photos. Enjoy!
